After hearing this song by Les Savy fav, if I ever am in a band again, there is no question about it – we will be called the Pots and Pans!

Way back in ’93 there was a local band in Utah lead by the talented Jamen Brooks. All the locals loved them and had high hopes that they would bust out of the local scene to some bigger venues and audiences. Well, instead they busted up and left us all mourning. But their song “Come Back to Me” remains one of my all time favorite love songs. Here’s my paltry version.

I must have the blues lately. This is a song I wrote 4 or so years ago, but it remains one of the few I am proud of. This is the third time I’ve recorded it and still not quite right, but close enough.

I am now the proud owner of the coolest t-shirt ever. It proves my independence from popular music as well as establishing my superiority in music aesthetics. It validates that I am somehow better equipped to find and appreciate musical genius and that I am infinitely familiar with what it means for bands to “sell out”. Yes, I am an Indie Elitist; and I now have the shirt to prove it.
